Colin's 7th Birthday!

Colin turned 7 a few weeks ago, and I never did actually document his birthday.

He was soooo excited to turn 7 because we were going to give him the Pikachu build a bear that he picked out the weekend prior to his birthday (yes, we were mean enough that we made him wait until his birthday morning to open it).

That night we went out to dinner at the Japanese Steak house (which was a little scary for the kids with all the fire and such).  We decided we'd go back again, but maybe with some other family members to help take over the table...

We also gave Colin 2 passes to go to Worlds of Fun with Brian.  Those 2 will have a blast together!

I don't enjoy anything like that these days - but he is soooo excited to go there with Brian.

I think they're hitting up Oceans of Fun first, in a couple weeks, then Worlds of Fun maybe later in September.  We are all about giving gifts that are "experiences" rather than presents.

So far, so good!

Colin has done quite a bit of maturing the last few months - he's grown into his role as a big brother and can be such a thoughtful young man.  He definitely keeps us on our toes and has a wonderful sense of humor.  He will drop anything to play a good card game and has really started to LOVE participating in sports (soccer, swimming, basketball).  He's very athletic and coordinated for his age.  We love you so much buddy!
