Colin's First Holy Communion weekend!

We were able to celebrate Easter with the Dudley side a week after Easter.
The weather was still chilly, but we did the Easter egg hunt indoors and the kids had a blast!

All 5 of the Dudley-side grandkids

Meemaw spoiled everyone with a wonderful Easter basket

Eli collecting his eggs - he's at the perfect age right now for all of these holiday rituals!

Arleigh got in on the action, too!

Then it was time for Colin to get all ready for his FIRST HOLY COMMUNION!!!
We are so proud of him - he has worked hard getting through all of the extra materials required in 2nd grade (he did first reconciliation late last year).

What a handsome young man!
(thanks for letting us borrow the suit, Scott & Suzanne!)

2 good lookin' guys!

Colin with his buddies Evan and Luke

(not very good lighting), but a cute picture of us with Colin

We tried another spot, but it was still pretty shadowy

We were also blessed that Scott and Suzanne were able to make mass that afternoon - they were in KC for Suzanne's dad's birthday!

Father Joe with Colin, after mass

Brian snapped these pics of Marvin and Kathy with Colin after our dinner celebration

We had all of the cousins and grandparents over to our house to celebrate Colin's achievement ( I didn't get a single picture of that, but we had a FULL HOUSE!)  He kept his suit on all night - I think he liked looking fancy! :)

Easter weekend 2018

Oh my goodness, how is it almost 3.5 weeks after Easter and I haven't even written about it?!
Things are a bit crazy at our house - so better late than never, right?

We decorated Easter eggs the day before Easter.  We didn't get too crazy with it, but the kids had a BLAST and they turned out great!

After we decorated eggs at our house, we went to St. Therese for their Knights of Columbus easter egg hunt.  It was over in about 2 minutes, but the kids had a blast, especially Eli.
There were different sections marked off for the different ages, so he had a big area to himself with the other littles.

We caught Fr. Joe out front of the church - he agreed to one silly picture...

And one serious picture

Cheese!!!

A quick picture while we were waiting for the egg hunt to start!

The kids with their baskets full of eggs!

We asked a Knights of Columbus man to take our family picture - he did a good job, except for his finger over the lens :)

The kids woke up extra early on Easter sunday and were so excited to see the Easter bunny had made it to our house.  They got all gussied up and waited patiently until we were ready to find the eggs hidden in our house.

We had plenty of sugar all before 8 am mass! :)

Our Easter family photo for this year
It was too chilly to take it outside - it was snowing!!

Later that afternoon we went to the Teson side Easter celebration and got to hang out with GG Rita some.  It's always nice to see her!

And Eli befriended their family dog.

Happy Easter 2018!!

Brian's 37th bday!!!

Brian turned 37 earlier this month...
The kids were on spring break, he had his birthday off work, so I went ahead and took the day off too to celebrate with the family!
Poor Eli went to daycare during the day still - but joined us in the afternoon to hang out!

Daddy got his birthday donut and coffee

The weather was really cold and rainy, so we decided to use another pass that Santa gave us and go visit Legoland!

It was a lot of fun and wasn't very busy at all since it was a Monday morning!

We had so much fun riding all the rides together without hardly any waiting!

Colin spent a lot of time at the race car section.
He and Brian were trying to build the fastest car!

Meanwhile, Maggie and I went to the Lego Friends area and built with some "girlie" legos!

Then we went and saw the 3D movie - we even got rained and snowed on during the movie!

We came home, rested for a minute, then picked up Eli to go to the Mavericks Hockey game.

Discussing important things over birthday donuts

The Mavericks ended up winning and it was a really fun game!

Oh, such goofy kids...

We love you Daddy, and hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!
