Ordinary Days - fun with friends!

With the weather getting nicer - we've been enjoying a lot of time outside with friends!

This little guy has gotten SOOOO much braver in the water.

He's determined to be swimming on his own soon - which I believe he will do!

I thought this picture was funny - Maggie was washing windows outside and I caught her like this!

Also, later that week, we had a tornado come directly towards Parkville.  Everyone thought it was okay except for Maggie.  She was soooooo nervous until we got downstairs to take cover when the sirens went off.  

We picked up a pizza one night at Pizza Shoppe and Eli decided to find a special hiding spot for himself in between the games.  He looks like he's stuck, but he's not!

Eli also started playing T-ball this summer.

He was very excited to start, then realized they would be practicing right next to a playground and decided it would be more fun to just play on the slides.  But...we tried, and he did better and better every week!

These are the t-ball boys' older sisters that come to support their brothers  play during practice.

Brian volunteered to coach - I love that he is able to dedicate time to helping the kids learn sports skills.

The kids had their first swim meets a while back and we bought them personalized yard signs to put up in our yard during the swim season

Michael's Retirement party

Michael had an official retirement party from the Lenexa fire department.

It was an amazing ceremony and very thoughtfully done.

Michael got to place a plaque up on the wall with his years of service, next to other fire fighters that have retired from the department.

Scott was able to attend, as well as the rest of the Teson siblings.

Afterwards we went out to dinner to celebrate.  Michael was such a trooper for lasting through a very long day, but was in good spirits despite his fatigue.

Last day of school 2018-2019

It was a beautiful day for the kids last day of school.

I took the day off and was able to meet them outside while they said goodbye to all of their awesome school friends!

We carpooled with Claire this year - she finished her Kindergarten year (she's taller than Maggie though!) 

Colin wanted to get Nurse Jenny flowers ever since he had his seizure scare at school.  She was so sweet to him and said so many prayers for him to heal quickly. 
We finally made good on his wish and got her flowers on the last day of school!

We also got flowers for Colin's teacher Ms. Thomas.  She won't be returning to STS next year, and will be greatly missed!

And I snuck in a picture with Maggie and her teacher Mrs. Keefe with her flowers, too!

Miss Maggie turns 8!

Seems like forever ago (sorry for being so far behind), but my little girl turned 8 in May!

She is always willing to do pictures for me, and I love her creative poses!

We went out to eat at Nick and Jakes (the kids favorite place!) - take a look at that chocolate cake they give you, it was bigger than her head!

Eli ran off before he could get in the picture, but we attempted a nice family photo before we left the restaurant

Then Maggie and I hit up Target for some fun!

The morning of her actual birthday we always do donuts

Brian was able to sneak away and have lunch with her that day

And at gymnastics class that night they made her crawl through everyone's legs and get a birthday spanking (it was pretty funny to watch!)

and Meemaw took the Dudley girls (Arleigh and Mags) out to go shopping at Justice

Maggie had a lot of fun celebrating her 8th birthday!
