Colin's swimming birthday party

Colin had a Star Wars swimming birthday party this year, which was perfect because it was literally 100 degrees outside on his party day.
We had a perfect amount of kids show up, and for some reason, we lucked out and there was almost no other people at our neighborhood pool during the party.  In fact, one of the mom's asked if I had rented the pool out for the party.  Nope!  We just got super lucky!

The kids played in the pool for about 30 mins, we got some pizza delivered, then ate some Star Wars cake and ice cream.
We went ahead and opened gifts, then let them swim for about 45 more minutes.

There were some friends from school, our neighborhood, and our awesome cousins!

Meemaw got a cool cake decal that went on top of our homemade cake.  You can't really see it all that well, but it's Darth Vader and it reads "happy birthday Colin"

So much fun!

It was such a great birthday party!

The next day, Colin Maggie and I went to see The Secret Life of Pets to give Brian a little uninterrupted work time while fixing up our kitchen.  We got new granite countertops and we are doing the backsplash ourselves.

Oh, and someone's glasses came in and we picked them up!
He looks so awesome in them, he picked them out all by himself.

1st grade, here we come!
