Well, the kids are back in school. This summer was sure a fun one! It always seems to fly by, but both kids were ready for school to start.
We found out which teacher they had 2 days before school started.
Colin got Mrs. McConnell (1A) and Maggie got Ms. Bradley (KC).
Both were delighted!
We dropped off their school supplies last Monday and met their teachers.
Colin has a few friends from his class last year, but lots of new names for him to meet!
Mrs. McConnell seems very nice and sweet!
Maggie has the same teacher that Colin had last year.
We are thrilled! Ms. Bradley does a fantastic job with the Kindergartners!
And the aide in the classroom, Mrs. Maloney, is also fantastic!
We ran into Mrs. Maloney over the summer quite a bit because her kiddos also swim on the Riss Lake swim team. So nice to have a familiar face at school on those first few days.
Colin helped Maggie find her name and drag it onto the schoolhouse.

Colin and Brian had to run quick to get to Colin's soccer practice. He joined a new soccer team and we missed the first couple practices while we were in Canada.
Maggie and I grabbed a hot dog and some chips after Meet the Teacher night in front of the school.
She wanted a picture with God.
Close enough, right?! :)
Then, 2 days later, it was the real-deal...

The kids got up without any fussing and were ready to tackle the day.

I waited in the hallway to walk Maggie to her classroom. She held her friends hands and just marched right in there.
New school supplies, clean uniforms, and some kids all ready to learn!
This is going to be a great year!
