So in case you didn't notice in the 4th of July pics - Maggie's cast is off! She got it off the day before...
It was totally traumatic for her (she cried the whole time the guy was cutting it off).
But, when the nurse practitioner came in, she didn't wince or flinch at all when she poked around on her femur. They said she'd be really stiff and sore for a bit (maybe up to 2 weeks), but that she should be able to walk on it no problem.

So, finally at the end of the day, Maggie decided she could walk on it and she hasn't looked back.
They said that for an adult with this injury, they would require physical therapy following the cast removal, but that kids are WAY more resilient than adults.
And in other news...
Brian got some more overhead garage storage in place...
I love the thrill of a good organizational system!!
