Maggie's 6th Birthday!

My sweet Maggie Mae turned 6 on Monday.
She has been looking forward to her birthday for quite some time, with a countdown on our family calendar since April.

Up and ready for school

So excited to bring a cookie cake to share with her class

Maggie had dance class that evening, so she decided to open 2 of her presents before dance class.
We gave her a wallet (so she could have one like Colin does)

And Colin got her some Shopkins and fingernail decoration stickers
She was in heaven!

We picked her up immediately from dance and went out to dinner.
Holding up 6 fingers!

Enjoying her birthday dessert!

Then we hurried home to open the last gift - a pair of roller skates!
She has worn her other pair from last year so much, they are literally breaking apart.

Her birthday party is at the roller skating rink this year, so it will be perfect!

Even Eli took to skating that night - he wore Maggie's old skates and LOVES it!
He actually does awesome skating around on the carpet at the house.

It was a wonderful day celebrating Maggie's birthday!

Early May stuff

May is flying by...
but we're having fun in the meantime.

We all went out to dinner after Meemaw watched Colin and Maggie on spring break...
Girls picture!

Silly faces!

Olivia had her first communion the other weekend.
It was a beautiful day and we had a nice party after at the Wells' house.
Congrats Olivia!

Our family hit up a Royals game
Attempted to get a family pic on the way, but then realized you couldn't see Eli in his rear-facing car seat.  Whoops!

We had wonderful Diamond Club seats.  It was a hot day but our seats were in the shade by the middle of the first inning.  So fun!

Eli spent the majority of the time playing with a straw in his bottle of water.

The kids spent the majority of the time begging for cotton candy.

Another try at a family pic

The kids had a blast - and don't worry...they got their cotton candy after all!

Brian and I went to see Garth Brooks in concert a couple weeks ago.
It was great, just like 10 years ago when we saw him in KC.
He's quite the entertainer, even though we stayed up WAY past our bedtime that night.

We did a post-Garth concert picture because Brian was certain his eyes looked "tired" in the first picture.  I told him, maybe that's because we have 3 kids and we ARE tired.  Hmmmmmm

We got our house repainted.  It was in desperate need of a new coat of paint, some wood rot fixing, new caulk, etc.  It looks great.  We had quite a time picking a paint color, but ended up with a greeny-gray color.

Brian re-mulched and I power washed the deck (which he re-stained a few days later).
Our house is getting some TLC and it's looking great!

Easter weekend

Easter weekend was started off by Maggie losing her FIRST TOOTH!
The story behind it is pretty funny.  She didn't even have a single wiggly tooth the day before it came out.  She was eating dinner one night (watermelon, to be specific), and she accidentally stabbed the bottom of her tooth with her fork when she was eating it.  Of course, there was drama and tears involved, but the end result was a SUPER wiggly bottom tooth.
She messed around with it the next day, decided she didn't want a wiggly tooth any longer, and then pulled it out after dinner the next night.  She was pretty proud of herself.

The tooth fairy brings $5 for the first lost tooth.
She was pumped to find it in the morning!

We then headed down to Belton to have Easter with the Dudley side on Good Friday.  It was  a little bit rainy that morning, but then it cleared out and was beautiful and sunny in the afternoon.

Girl time!

These 3 played so hard all day!
It's so fun to watch them run crazy together and laugh a ton!

Eli tried hard to hang with the older kids - he loved playing with some new toys, though!

Sweet Arleigh Jean

Fun Aunt Tiffey had eggs ready to be colored.

After rest, the kids were ready to hunt for some eggs in the backyard.

Finished the day off with some bikes and balls in the cul-de-sac.
Such a great Easter celebration with family.

Colin had a birthday party the next day at a really neat arcade place.
He had so much fun.

On Easter morning the kids were ready for their Easter baskets.
Maggie got a couple NumNoms, Colin got some Pokemon cards, and Eli got the movie Moana.

They got ready for church and started a quick egg hunt in the house before we left for mass.

We even saw a cute little Easter bunny out our back window that morning.
Moose just sat and stared at it for a long time.

Goofy kids...

All dressed up - we had someone take our picture outside of church that morning
We came home, changed, then headed to Grammie and Granddad for some more Easter celebrating with the Teson side.

Maggie and baby Bennett

More egg hunting...

We are so blessed to have such wonderful family that we can be with during the holidays.
Happy Easter 2017!
