Ordinary Days in June

The Texas Teson clan was in town for the older boys to attend a summer camp, so we got to hang out with the younger ones at Grammie and Granddad's house.

A fun lunch at mom's work one day - they have a 'kids eat free' lunch program at work and about once a week, our nanny Katie would bring the kids up and we would have a quick lunch while I was on break.  This particular time, her sister Holly came too!

A picture with my cute boy while we were watching Eli at tball

Chad's parents invited us (well, we kindof invited ourselves) to their house for some fishing and country living.  They live on a ton of land in Clinton, MO and we crashed their place one weekend.

The girls...

That poor gator ran out of battery REALLY quickly from all of it's use

A couple fishing pictures - we didn't catch too many (it was really HOT outside and we couldn't keep all the kiddos out there for too long), but we had a lot of fun while it lasted!

Getting some "barn-sicles" with Chad's family

And...we visited some friends one weekend and had a little 'accident' happen while we were there.  Involving a deck nail through a fingernail.  Pretty traumatic but the other kids did great and we were so glad we were there to help out while the Gramlich's took Reece to the ER.

The kids got their summer swim team picture (proofs) back

Boating with friends on Riss Lake

Our good family friends, the Barchers, live in our neighborhood and also have a boat on our lake.  They are so kind to offer to let us come out with them, and we have taken them up on that a few times this summer.  We happen to have kids that match up in age/gender so that makes it extra fun!

Jameson and Eli - the best of friends/enemies (3 years old is hard!)

We even did some fishing!

Fun times at the lake - right in our own neighborhood!

Maggie's Dance Recital

Maggie had another dance recital in early June.  She did awesome, as always, and had a really cute costume this year.  The girls danced to a song in the movie Dream Girls called "Move".

I snuck a picture with her back stage before she performed

Poor Grammie had all the littles crawling all over her during the performances

Someone with a camera right on Maggie sent me these great pictures!

Then they got to come back out to do a final performance together with all the dancers

Maggie and her supportive brothers :)

Silly faces :)

Great job, Maggie!!!

Ordinary Days - fun with friends!

With the weather getting nicer - we've been enjoying a lot of time outside with friends!

This little guy has gotten SOOOO much braver in the water.
He's determined to be swimming on his own soon - which I believe he will do!

I thought this picture was funny - Maggie was washing windows outside and I caught her like this!

Also, later that week, we had a tornado come directly towards Parkville.  Everyone thought it was okay except for Maggie.  She was soooooo nervous until we got downstairs to take cover when the sirens went off.

We picked up a pizza one night at Pizza Shoppe and Eli decided to find a special hiding spot for himself in between the games.  He looks like he's stuck, but he's not!

Eli also started playing T-ball this summer.
He was very excited to start, then realized they would be practicing right next to a playground and decided it would be more fun to just play on the slides.  But...we tried, and he did better and better every week!

These are the t-ball boys' older sisters that come to support their brothers  play during practice.

Brian volunteered to coach - I love that he is able to dedicate time to helping the kids learn sports skills.

The kids had their first swim meets a while back and we bought them personalized yard signs to put up in our yard during the swim season

Seeing friends at the pool

And more good friends on the swim team
