end of march madness

We've been busy busy busy lately - but in a good way!
Lots of blessings to celebrate and enjoy!

Eli potty trained a few weeks back and is doing awesome!

Colin got invited to a bday party at this really neat trampoline park in Liberty.
He came home a sweaty mess!

Maggie got her hair trimmed off (3 inches)!
It was much overdue for a good cut!

Colin with his buddy Jack at Jack's bday party

Eli's potty training sticker sheet that he colored like a 'frog' for me!

A cute picture of a very proud Eli at daycare - he built his biggest tower yet!

Brian took Colin and Maggie to Powerplay to use their gift cards from Santa.
They had a blast!

St. Paddy's day weekend (and 2 bday parties)

we had quite a busy St. Patrick's Day weekend!
The kids loved putting on the tattoos and celebrating birthdays!

First off on Friday evening was Bennett's first bday.

It took him a minute to get warmed up to the cake, but then he dug right in!!

So yummy!

Olivia let Eli try on her glasses - very stylish!

The best picture I could get of Bennie with Chris and Caitlin.
Happy Bday Bennett!

Then on Saturday morning Colin got to march in the St. Patricks day parade in Westport.  The 2nd graders at St. Therese always do an entry in the parade to march and sing a song.
It was sooooo cold.  But at least it was dry.
We all had on tons of layers.  The parade was packed and there were lots of people out there cheering us on.

Before the parade - trying so hard to keep warm

Colin with his buddy Evan

Michele, myself, and Katie - it's so nice to have other parents that we're friends with!

Oh man, it was cold!!!

Colin, before the parade started

After the parade, we went to mass and then headed off to see a Mavericks game (or so we thought)

Turns out, the Houston team we were supposed to play in hockey that night, had some bus troubles and they had to cancel the game.

So we decided to stop by and grab some goodies and spend the evening playing card games and watching Netflix.  Sounds good to me!

Then on Sunday afternoon we had Daniels 4th bday party at a really fun gymnastics place.

All the kids had so much fun!!

It took Eli a little bit to warm up to the place, but every day since then he has requested to go back, so I think he liked it :)

Brian had the kids swinging so high on that rope

Colin is that blur in the middle of the picture - probably laughing his head off!

Thought this pic of Bennie was cute!

Eli is super strong!

All the kiddos - so much fun!

Happy bday Daniel!

The next day...we rested!

Our life lately...pictures from early March

Another bunch of pictures to upload on here...
just usual daily stuff, but some cute pictures along the way!

Colin had a cavity on the last dentist visit - so we went in to get it filled a couple weeks ago.
He was very brave, and besides feeling numb afterward, he didn't have any complaints!
Super proud of him (but we won't be getting any more cavities, hopefully!)

We celebrated Moose's 5th birthday a couple weeks ago.
The kids were extra huggy on him and he got 2 new bones!
What a great day to be a dog!

We had Father Joe over for dinner one Sunday night.
It was a lovely evening filled with salad and lasagna - until Eli decided to have a little meltdown, then the evening ended rather quickly.
It's so awesome to have such a caring priest at our family parish!

I finally gave it and let the kids make slime.
I found the easiest recipe ever, and then the kids had a blast playing with it.  I can't believe how many tooting noises they could make with it.
They still play with it a lot, so I guess it was worth it!

Colin helped Maggie fill out her March Madness bracket one morning before the games started.
All of our brackets are busted as of right now, but it's still fun to see all the teams play!

Another trip to Omaha!

We just love taking advantage of those Groupons to Omaha, NE!
The kids have fun, the water park is usually not very busy, and it's just a short few hour drive for a little weekend getaway.

This was the first time with Eli being a little bit older - he had a blast!  He went down the same orange slide about 50 times in a row.  He could do it by himself so usually Brian or I would just camp out at the end of the slide and make sure he got up/down okay.
Maggie still wasn't quite tall enough for the super big slides, but got to go down all of the other ones.  She is such a good big sister, too, that she spent quite a bit of time just helping Eli navigate around the water park.
Colin and Brian did all of the big slides on the tubes.  Colin is getting close to 'outgrowing' the water park in Omaha, but he still has fun.

I didn't take too many pictures because I don't like bringing my phone down to the pools all the time, but I did manage to get a few pictures.

The lighting isn't the best in this area of the water park, but it was a super cute picture!

Then I insisted on one more picture with Brian -

Maggie could've played all day in the lazy river.  The water was super warm and she just swam around looking for rocks and splashing us all!

 Taking a quick break

Colin and I lounging in the lazy river

Every day we would bring Eli up to the room for him to nap...and every day Eli refused to nap.  But, he did handle his 'nap-less' weekend fairly well!

We were able to go to the Pirnie's house on Saturday night for dinner.  Brian and I swam with Beth in college and she and her husband Todd have 3 little boys.
We always try to see old college friends when we visit Omaha!
So glad it worked out!

Colin and Jackson playing checkers

This Hot Wheels track was super popular all night long!

Eli just kept to himself and quietly played with the fun toys!

Then they pulled out Twister...that was hilarious!
The kids had so much fun!

Lots of stretched out arms and legs - they tried so hard!

A group pic of the kids - all boys and one girl!
Back row: Eli, Graham, Mason, Bennett, Maggie
Front row: Keller, Colin, Jackson

Colin was recruited to take a pic of the parents:  Brian and I, Beth and Todd, & Diana and Zach.
Diana is expecting their 3rd kiddo the first week of April.
Brian, Beth, Diana and I all swam together at Truman State.  Go Bulldogs!!!

And one more picture of Twister - it was so funny because poor Jackson had to put his head right behind Colin's bottom.  Probably not a very safe place to hang out for too long :)
