Wagon walk

After dinner one night this week, Colin wanted to go for a walk.  He also decided that taking the wagon would be a good idea.  He is so funny, we haven't had our wagon out for months, yet he told us that "sister will love it!"  So, we happily obliged, and off we went.
He was right, sister did love it.  We went up and down the sidewalk, stopping frequently so that Colin could pick mommy some flowers (dandelions).  They were beautiful!
We didn't make it far because Maggie kept trying to stand up in the wagon.  Remember what happened when Colin tried that a couple of years ago?  We do.  He fell out and scraped his face pretty badly.  Won't let that happen again!
We made it back home and played in our driveway for a bit.

Going up...Going down...

Faster Daddy, Faster!

Maggie obviously enjoyed herself!

Weeeeeeeeee!

She was grinning from ear to ear!

I love this picture of Brian and Maggie.

Oh, and earlier in the day, Brian found Colin "napping" in his chair in his room.  Lately, he has no wanted to sleep in his bed, so we find him on the floor in random spots in his room.  I guess he wanted a little more comfortable spot than the floor.  I love the book in between his legs.
Never a dull moment :)

T minus 2 weeks!

The countdown has begun...moving weekend is almost here.
Brian and I were packing fools this weekend.  We got the majority of Colin and Maggie's room done, and the entire kitchen (minus the pantry, which we are going to try hard to eat all of the next two weeks!)

Colin and Maggie don't seem to mind the boxes that much.  In fact, Colin thought it was super cool to walk around the attic and make sure we got all the boxes out of there.  Plus, we found this gigantic box of bubble wrap (left by the previous home owners) that Colin played with for hours.  Nothing like long strips of bubble wrap to keep a kid busy!

Our little pistol in the tub

Wait, kids aren't supposed to eat suckers in the bathtub?!

Surprise!!
(seriously, Brian's little mini-me)

Gotta love bathtub photos.  Brian was behind me making the kids laugh.
They sure do love their Daddy!

On Sunday, we attempted to get Maggie's 1 year photos done.  And by attempted, I mean we showed up to the photo place, but Maggie had other plans.  Girlfriend has been doing this thing lately, where I just CAN NOT put her down without a huge meltdown taking place.  She is happy as a clam, then I put her down, and it's the worst thing in the world.  So, pictures did not go so well individually.  We did get some awesome family photos though.

After pictures, still looking all cute in her nice outfit!

Love this happy little girl (with cracker-mush on her chin!)

We had a picture of Colin like this when he was about her age, and it won't be long til we will be out of here...

Mom and Mags
Best buds!

Only part of the damage done...
We have so many boxes full of stuff.  The kitchen took quite a while, but we got it all done this past weekend.  We rented a 300 sq ft storage unit, and we think we will have enough stuff to fill up the majority of it.
On a side note, we also have a huge bag of stuff getting donated, which is a nice perk of having to literally touch every little last thing in your house.  It really does allow you to decide what you need to live and what can be donated.

Our week in photos

Busy busy bees!  We have so much going on right now, all good things! (but still stressful)

We sadly had our last visit with our Parents As Teachers educator, Mikala, this past week.  She has been with us since Colin was only 4 months old.  It is such a great resource for parents.  She helps us with any concerns we might have with our kids, plus makes sure they are hitting their milestones appropriately and just being "normal" kids.  She is awesome with Colin and Maggie and always makes us feel at ease.  We are going to miss her so much!!

Mikala with the Tesons...(minus Brian the photographer)

Our new sign in our front yard...

We took probably 30 pictures of the kids with the SOLD sign...
and these are the best we got...

I love Maggie's dramatic arms in all the pictures...
Such a princess!

We headed off to Topeka to see Meemaw's new place.  It is so great!
Plenty of space for a busy family of 4 to visit.  Not quite decorated like Meemaw would like, but it's on it's way.  We were only there for 7 hours on Sunday, but they were busy hours.

Maggie "feeding" Daddy a doggie treat

Well hello beautiful little girl!
(please don't mind the dried snot on her hair that is causing it to stick out above her ear!)

I'm telling you...drama hands!

And our amazing little guy Colin!

Yesterday Maggie had her check-up with Dermatology for her hemangioma.  Things are looking good and we don't have to go back for 1 year!! Yipee!!!
Then, we went to Maggie's Ear appointment this morning to get her hearing re-checked.  Turns out, she still failed her hearing tests on her left side.  But, things are good with her right side.  And, the tubes cleared out all the fluid that was in there previously.  So we are just going to sit tight for 6 months and test her hearing again then.  It might have something to do with her congestion right now, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that she will be better in 6 months time.

Colin colored Buzz Lightyear while waiting at Maggie's appointment.
Mommy: Colin, what color did you color Buzz Lightyear?
Colin: Blue
Mommy: How come?
Colin: Because blue is Buzz's favorite color.  Blue is my favorite color, too.

Good to know!
Side note: Blue is also Woody and Bullseye's favorite color.

Weekend Recap

The weekend started off on Friday, when Meemaw came into town to help me organize myself (I had a stressful week with school and life in general), and start packing our house up.

We got some pizza from Papa Murphys (a take-and-bake place).  They are selling these pizzas called Mini Murphy's and they are essentially a little pizza kit for kids to make.  You can choose pepperoni  or cheese, and it costs $3.  So, I picked one up for Colin.

He had so much fun making his very own pizza.

Daddy helped him get on the sauce...

Then we all worked hard to spread it around...

 Sprinkled on some cheese...

and ate lots of the cheese...

 Sprinkled on more cheese...

 Added some pepperoni...
and voila!!
The finished product.  Sure looks yummy to me!

After pizza Brian and Colin went outside to fly the kite that Meemaw brought.  It was a perfectly windy day to fly a kite.  Colin didn't think it was quite as much fun as Daddy did.  Oh well, we'll try again another day.

Brian re-mastering the skill of kite flying

Colin and Daddy flying the kite together!

We pretty much just worked on starting to pack the house up on Saturday.  If I hadn't mentioned...it's official!  WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!
And...don't have a house to move into yet.  So we went and looked at a few on Saturday as well.  But no luck.  We'll find our diamond in the rough soon (hopefully!)
On Sunday, Colin and Brian went to opening weekend of the Royals.  Tiff and Chad met them out there, too!  I stayed back with Maggie to work on some school stuff.  Only 4 more weeks and then I have a nice long summer break.  I think I can, I think I can, I think I can :)

Colin and Brian just before heading out to the game.
Colin has a terrible cough (probably caught it from Maggie) and was running a little bit of a fever.  That couldn't keep him away from the ballgame though.  Just gave him some Motrin and off they went!

Brian sent me this picture from his phone.  Such a good one!  Looks like they're having fun!

Meanwhile, Maggie and I hit the grocery store to run some errands.
We decided to switch Maggie from her infant carrier carseat to a convertible one.  So, we moved Colin to a booster seat and did some rearranging of our carseats in the cars.  Now that Maggie is almost a year old, she's such a big girl.  Where has the time gone?

I took this pic from my phone at the store.
She's such a good helper while shopping.  She eats the grocery list, awesome kid, thanks a lot! :)

HAPPY 11 MONTH BIRTHDAY, MAGGIE!!

Easter Sunday

This Teson Family had such a great Easter.
The morning started off with a small Easter egg hunt around our house.  We were able to do this before Maggie woke up for the morning.  Before we could start the hunt though, Colin was sooo excited to dig into his Easter basket.  Actually, he was only interested in one thing...

Woody!
Colin already has a Buzz Lightyear, and the Easter Bunny brought Colin a Woody doll and Maggie got a Jessie doll.  He also got a couple of books and some candy.  Nothing big, but perfect for our Easter.

Buzz meeting Woody.
They are already best of friends at our house, too!

Colin getting the loot out of his eggs.  He got some church money, hershey kisses, marshmallows, and chocolate eggs.  He was more interested in playing with Woody.  The funny thing is, that before Easter, Buzz was Colin's favorite toy.  Now, Woody is right there with Buzz, and a little easier to carry around, so Woody is going everywhere with Colin now.

Maggie joined us after she woke up.  Here she is with Jessie.
This is the best picture I could get of the 2 of them, they are just precious!

Like I mentioned last post, Maggie wasn't feeling very good this past week.  Her little nose has been running like crazy and she's just about had it with us wiping her boogers.
She looks so pretty in her Easter dress!

Colin in his handsome Easter shirt (with Woody, of course!)

2012 Easter family picture

Another shot of the family (this time with Maggie's serious face!)

Then, we gathered everyone together for a group shot with Grammie and Grandad.
There is 9 grandchildren all together.  It was kindof crazy after Easter mass, but we all had such a great time.

After pictures, we headed out to the backyard for another Teson Easter egg hunt.  Colin did great, especially for only having one hand to grab eggs (he seriously wouldn't put Woody down!)

Grandad handed out the special eggs.  Colin's had $1 in it.  Into the piggy bank it goes!

We skipped Colin's nap and headed over to see GGRita.  Colin did great there, played with some toys he found and allowed me to visit some with family we don't see too often.  Brian stayed back at the house because Maggie was sleeping.  She didn't get a morning nap because we went to Mass in the morning, so she was tired!

Sandbox time!!
Colin absolutely could live in this sandbox.  Grandad poured the sand in there on Easter morning and he didn't get out until dinner.

Colin filling his bucket!

Oh Goodness, it's so heavy!

Suzanne with little baby Peter.
Surprise, surprise, he looks just like the rest of their babies.

Such a sweetheart!

Caitlin and Maggie enjoying some sun.

It was just beautiful outside and we had a wonderful time visiting while sitting outdoors.

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend, too!
