Random December happenings

Brian showed me how to hook up my phone pictures to the blog, so I found some on there that I needed to put on here!  This is so much easier than the way I used to do it, so be prepared for some picture overloaded posts!

The kids hit the dentist last week and I was so proud of Maggie - she didn't fuss at all and was so brave about the gritty toothpaste they use to clean her teeth.  

Before school one morning, Colin wanted a picture with Moose...

This kid is not starved for attention, he gets so much love all day, every day!

And I snapped a few pictures during bath time the other day...

He's getting so big, and absolutely LOVES bath time!

Eli and I made a quick trip to Belton to see Tiff on her birthday weekend.

Brian kept Colin and Maggie home and took them to see a movie (lucky kids!)

Visiting Santa

We went to visit Santa last week at Crown Center.  The kids were really looking forward to it and I was really looking forward to hearing about what they wanted for Christmas (It seems to change every time I ask!)

I took a few pictures with all the kids and then some of just Colin and Maggie

Maggie was asking for a new microphone for her singing machine.  It has seriously been broken for almost a year (thanks to Moose!).  

Colin was asking for some Quixel beads and some Shrinky dinks.

Santa asked if they had been good this year.  Maggie replied with a 'yes', and Colin said, 'sometimes'.  Overall, I would say that is pretty accurate :)

After visiting with Santa, we checked out the rest of the Christmas display.  It was a train theme, much different than the previous years where it was Crayola themed.

They had a couple of trick mirrors there.  We seriously laughed so hard when the kids walked up there, especially at Colin.  His head looked HUGE in the mirror and we were all belly laughing so hard!  Goofy kids! (and actually, Goofy Daddy seemed to start it all!)

Our annual Omaha Coco Key trip

Once again, the Coco Key water park offered a great Groupon deal that we took advantage of.  We don't usually wait this long in the year to use it, but we wanted Mr. Eli to be as old as possible (you know, more "durable").

We got the buffet breakfast every morning, loading up on eggs and bacon, then headed to the pool for some serious swimming and slide action.  Luckily, Maggie made friends with the lifeguard, who let her go down the slides even though she was an inch too short.  She did a fantastic job and we are so excited for her to be on the swim team next summer.  

Colin and Maggie both loved the lazy river.  I spent most of the time hanging out by the kiddie pool with Eli.  He was a trooper and took his naps down there.  It was a nice humid, calming environment to catch some sleep!

We had so much fun introducing Eli to the water.  He did great!

We were also able to meet up with our old college friends for a nice dinner with the kids.

We all have 3 kids in each family, so there wasn't a dull moment with all those kids running around.

Forgot to post my 1 month photos of Eli (at least I think I forgot...), but he seems so much chunkier and has a great personality now at 2 months!

Thanksgiving time

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving (well, actually 3 of them!)

We had Thanksgiving with the Teson side of the family on Monday evening, but it was a little bit of a smaller crowd as The Texas Tesons had a sick one at home and did not make the trip.  We missed them terribly, but really enjoyed the extra leftovers!!!  

Then we went to the extended family Teson side on Thanksgiving day.  There were a ton of people there, and Colin and Maggie had a great time playing with their second cousins that were the same ages.  Eli pretty much slept the whole time, but was passed around to every one of Brian's aunts and uncles.  He slept great that night cause he was so worn out!

Then we went to Peculiar and had Thanksgiving on the Dudley side of the family.

I actually remembered to bring my camera to this one (1 out of 3 ain't bad, right?!)

Tiff brought these really cool window crayons that the kids used for quite some time.

They had a blast decorating Meemaw's door out of her kitchen.

Colin was so proud of his masterpiece!

The kids all laid down and rested for a bit (just kidding, they all 3 split up within a few minutes, but it looked cute for a second!)

We put up our Christmas tree right after Thanksgiving.  The kids actually did a really great job decorating the tree.  Brian and I just had to help get the ornaments up top some.

Eli's 2 months

We took Eli in for his 2 month appointment.  Big guy almost weighs 15 pounds (97% on the growth chart!).  He is such a happy and funny baby.

Maggie had a couple days off before Thanksgiving and I just love this picture of her with Eli.

She adores him, my little mama!

Granddad offered to hold Eli at Thanksgiving, with the intention of getting him to fall asleep. 

Well, it looks like the opposite happened - funny Granddad!

Oh, and big things happened at our house last week -

Maggie agreed to let me change out her earrings.  It has been 8 months since she got her ears pierced and she was convinced it would hurt really bad if she changed them.

Well, I must've caught her at a weak moment - and now she has in other earrings!

She was so proud of herself!

And one more thing - this is me in the eyes of my 6 year old son.

I'm looking pretty good if I do say so myself (even if I am wearing a shirt that shows off my belly!)
