Ordinary days August-Sept- we've been busy!!!

So many pictures to catch up on...

I traveled to Oakland, CA for a work conference at the end of August with a poster to present.
Everything went well and I got some really great questions...

Brian and I went out on a quick date after church one Saturday - yummy Mexican food!

St. Therese had Back to School night where I got to listen to their teachers give presentations on the plans for  the year - and I love seeing the papers they have posted out in the halls...

I laughed when I saw Colin had written down he goes to sleep at 7:30 (yeah right - he's still at soccer practice at 7:30 twice a week!)

I took all 3 kiddos with me on a Target run one morning

We enjoyed the last few moments of summer before the pool closed on Labor Day weekend

Eli LOVED this plane floatie (which was NOT ours), and made sure he had at least one hand on it at all times in the baby pool!

We finally watched The Greatest Showman movie and we all LOVED it!
Such good music to dance to!

Brian took the kids 'camping' in our backyard over Labor Day weekend

It was hot but they all had a blast!

Such fun memories for them! (not me...or Eli...who were sleeping in the air conditioning on our beds inside!)

We went to a surprise anniversary party for Brian's aunts and uncles and then the cousins got to have a sleepover - so we had Olivia at our house and Colin went to Johnny's.

The girls made jolly rancher lip balms and some 'pencils' out of wafers

Brian and I celebrated our 12th year anniversary - and he made me these lovely pancakes while I was out mowing the lawn that morning.  True love I tell ya!

Maggie started taking Gymnastics at a different gym in September.
She LOVES it and is learning so much more than before!

She really loves the beam - she's in the front in the purple leotard

Eli has been OBSESSED with this 'creepy guy' that we saw at Costco.  I literally took him to Costco a couple weeks ago just to see him again.  He makes scary noises and talks and is about 6 feet tall - and his eyes light up.  Something about him is so intriguing to Eli...

Maggie danced in a dance clinic put on by a local high school

She did it last year and loved it, so we did it again this year.

 Her friend Quincy

They got to perform at the pre-game of the Friday night football game.
Don't know why they put the smallest girl in the back row...but they did!

Maggie is 2nd row from the front in the middle-ish

The boys weren't able to come since Colin had football practice, but us girls had a great time!

 More of Maggie's friends...

Colin started playing flag football and is really enjoying it.  He is still learning the game and rules, but is fast and has quite a few friends on his team.

Grammie and Granddad came to his first game

Colin had a buddy over to play and they brought out the soccer goals...

 More gymnastics birthday parties

I took Colin to a soccer game last weekend and we got there a few minutes early.
He's just watching the other games that were going on - trying to learn.  It's really great to see!

Maggie playing in the sprinklers with her friend Quincy

Colin with his buddy/teammate Finn at the soccer team photo shoot

Another hot soccer game - they played the #1 team and ended up losing but played with a lot of heart.

We got invited to a Harry Potter themed bday party and had a blast, even though we've never watched or read any of the Harry Potter series.

Colin was reading up in his Harry Potter spells book on the way home

And Deidra's mom took this cute pic of our family at the bday party!

Phew, that was a lot!  Thanks for hanging in there!!!
