Playing catch up

Well it's definitely been a while since I've put up a blog post.
This winter has been flying by.  Between sports, school activities, birthdays, etc, it's just been one thing after another for us!

Here's what we've been up to lately:

Brian took the kids to see Trolls, and then we all went to see Sing a week later.
The kids just love movies, and we always suggest movie giftcards as good present ideas for people because it's so much fun for them to be able to "pay" for the movies themselves.

Attempting to get a good pic of us in the theatre, waiting for Brian to come back with some popcorn!

Eli is really developing a great personality lately.
In the mornings, when he wakes up SUPER EARLY (seriously, never sleeps past 5:50 am), he plays around in our closets and finds the most random things.
Above, it was some medal from a race, and a bunch of different Royals hats.

Maggie was 'star student' a few weeks back.  She thought that was awesome, and ABC Star Bear got to spend a week with us at our house.

She went with us to church...

And to Maggie's dance class.
So much fun!

Gordon turned 3 a couple weeks ago.  The Parks' family threw a great party and we all had a lot of fun!  He is such a cute kid.  It's so much fun watching him grow up and turn into a really awesome big brother to Arleigh!

Brian and I went on a date during KC restaurant week.  We went to Q39, a wonderful BBQ place in KC.  The food was fantastic and we had a great time.

Colin started playing indoor soccer and had his first indoor soccer game.
That is one intense game, but he is enjoying himself  in the 'offseason' for regular soccer.

Colin had his 2 -year repeat EEG for his epileptic seizures.  He LOVED staying up late again with Brian, and actually was pretty enjoyable when I got him up at 4 am for the morning.  We played Uno, checkers, Old Maid, and Trouble.  Before we knew it, everyone else in the family was waking up for the day.  He did a fantastic job on the EEG, and I stayed in the waiting room while he had it done.  We went out to lunch with Brian at On the Border after his appointment.
We got the results back just a few days ago and so pleased to announce that HIS EEG WAS NORMAL!!!  That means we get to wean him off his meds for the next 2 weeks and then we won't have to worry about the seizures any more!!!  So happy to have this behind us.  And so glad to know that his body outgrew these seizures like they said he would.

Colin is also playing winter basketball for the Y.
He likes it a lot, and has a pretty good group of buddies on his team.  Next year, as a 2nd grader, he can play for his school.
