All sorts of Christmas fun!

This post is going to be a hodge podge of all sorts of Christmas pictures, so bear with me!

Maggie had her Christmas concert at school.  She looked beautiful in her Christmas dress!

She was an angel (so fitting, right?!)

Still not sure why they put the tiniest little girl in the back row, but oh well!

We also made some gingerbread men instead of a gingerbread house this year.
I think the kids preferred the house, so we might go back to that next year.

Later on, we decorated the cookies for Santa.
It was just a fiasco from the start.  I couldn't get the dough to roll out, and all the cookies got mushed in the cookie cutters.  Then, when they baked, they got huge and distorted, so you couldn't even tell what shapes they were.  Then, for some reason, they turned out crispy, so I asked Brian to put a slice of bread in the Tupperware they were in.  He put in 5 slices of bread instead of 1 (because more is better, right?!), then they became all soft and crumbly.
But, the kids didn't mind it at all - they had a blast decorating the soft, weird-shaped cookies!
I mean, frosting and sugar taste great no matter what you spread it on!  :)

As in previous years, we hit up 2:30 mass downtown on Christmas Eve.
We have it down pretty well now, getting there about an hour early to get plenty of room for our family of 5 now!  The kids stayed in the van while Eli and I went in to save a pew.  When Eli woke up from his nap, Brian came in with the kids and I went out to the van to feed Eli.  I made it back to the church just in time for mass to start.

We snapped our family Christmas photo right after mass
Testing out the angle of the camera (we set the automatic timer on there to take the picture)

The best one we got (Maggie was sad for some reason, we think it was because I mentioned she made a funny face in the picture before this one).  Such a sensitive little lady!

We had a wonderful dinner and watched a movie and ate popcorn.  The kids set out the cookies for Santa and actually did a great job of getting to bed.
They slept until around 6:30 and patiently waited for me to feed Eli before opening presents.

They opened their stockings first

Our neighbor bought us this cute Santa outfit for Eli

Eli opened his presents and then headed back upstairs for another nap

Colin loves playing games.  He got Trouble and we all had so much fun playing the rest of the day.
Santa brought Colin some Quixel beads and the turbo dryer.
Maggie got a microphone for her karaoke machine and a Frozen karaoke CD.
We kept it pretty low key this year, and the kids were really pleased with all of their presents.

We went to Grammie and Grandad's house for brunch later that day.
Grandad and Eli are pretty good buds

It's always a full house over at the Tesons and so much fun!
We all got spoiled over there - Colin and Maggie got some really great gifts and it's so much fun to exchange gifts with the cousins.  We even did a White Elephant gift exchange - very creative gifts!

We also got to celebrate Christmas with Grandad's side of the family and Grammie's side of the family.  Colin proudly states that we will have had 4 Christmases this year.  We are very blessed to have family close by to celebrate with.
