Because of our crazy schedules right now, we waited to have the kids open their Valentine's Day gifts until tonight. It would've been nice to have them wearing some "lovey" outfits today, but Brian had a meeting yesterday morning, I had class last night, and class again today.
We BOTH obviously wanted to be around for the gifts, so we just held off until tonight. The kids didn't know any different since they're not in a school setting yet.
I got some lovely red tulips from Brian (and another one from my mom earlier in the weekend), a new wood-wick candle, and some pretty awesome cards from the kids. Tulips are my favorite!!! So pretty.
The flowers look a bit wonky...probably didn't like riding in Brian's tiny car today!
Nothing crazy for us...
and too bad I gave up chocolate for lent..
The kids' Valentine's day box.
It had a couple treats, a couple shirts for the kids, two cards from Meemaw and Grammie & Grandad, and a set of Superhero capes made by Meemaw.
Colin has been using anything and everything he can find around the house to make a "case" as he calls a cape. So he was beyond thrilled to find an ACTUAL cape in the box.
Awesome!
Our little Valentine's enjoying their only sugar-treat for the day...
And the sugar gave Colin and Maggie lots of energy to run crazy around the house.
Colin insisted I showed him pictures of his cape flying into the air behind him since he was running SO FAST!
Super Colin! doing some laps around the house
And our little monkey-see monkey-do Maggie!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
